Partially Broken Down Whey Protein for Easier Digestion
Milk–based infant formulas are the most commonly used infant nutrition products on the market today. According to the Mayo Clinic, most infants are fed a conventional or standard cow’s milk-based baby formula. For some, however, especially those who may be allergic to milk proteins, other types of infant formula may be recommended by a health-care professional.
Most babies are fussy or gassy at times. It is a common occurrence for babies, whose digestive systems are continuing to develop. But if you suspect your baby's fussiness or gas doesn't seem quite right, check with your baby’s doctor. He or she may recommend:
- A milk-based infant formula that has partially broken down whey protein.
- A soy-based infant formula offering vegetarian nutrition.
Parent’s Choice Gentle® Infant Formula is a milk-based formula with whey protein that has been partially broken down (partially hydrolyzed) into smaller parts for easy digestion. Our Gentle formula also contains ¼ the lactose, a carbohydrate naturally found in cow's milk, which is in a standard milk formula. With Gentle®, your baby will still get the recommended protein source, cow’s milk, while benefiting from a formula specially designed to address fussiness or gas. A soy formula offers a vegetarian, lactose-free alternative when soy protein is preferred and recommended by a doctor. Soy-based formulas can be useful if parents want to exclude animal proteins from their baby’s diet or if their baby is sensitive to lactose.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)** believes soy baby formula is only suitable when:
- The infant’s parents are strict vegans.
- The infant receives a true diagnosis of lactose intolerance, which is rare and not the same thing as an allergy to cow's milk.
- The infant has congenital galactosemia.
Parent’s Choice Gentle® Infant Formula is made in Vermont, U.S.A., and meets or exceeds FDA standards and AAP nutritional guidelines. Since all babies have different nutritional needs, please be sure to consult with your baby’s health-care professional.
My daughter is 5 months and she does so well with on your gentle formula! She has severe acid reflux and hasn't ever had a problem with it.

Your formula is more gentle on their tummies. I love the gentle formula. I love also that it doesn't clump.
