Some babies may have a hard time digesting foods containing high amounts of lactose, the carbohydrate (sugar) present in milk. Parent's Choice Sensitivity® Infant Formula is a reduced-lactose* alternative that still offers your baby the preferred protein source of cow's milk. The main difference between Sensitivity® and our soy baby formula centers on the source of protein:
- Parent’s Choice Sensitivity® Infant Formula is not a lactose free formula.
- Sensitivity® is made with milk protein.
- The amount of lactose in Sensitivity® is reduced by 95% compared to the lactose in standard milk-based infant formulas.
General signs of lactose sensitivity include recurrent spit ups, diarrhea, gas, and bloating. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends offering your baby or child foods that are lactose free or lactose reduced if he or she shows signs of lactose intolerance or sensitivity.
Parent's Choice Sensitivity® Infant Formula is nutritionally comparable to the name brand Similac Sensitive® and contains the lipids DHA and ARA, two nutrients naturally found in breast milk that may support brain and eye development.
